Printer Friendly Version Opening of the exhibition of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Nicosia @ 7 March 2019 10:23 AM

The exhibition of the Nikola Tesla Museum titled "Tesla, Work, Spirit, Vision" was opened on March 1, 2019 in Nicosia, which was broadcasted by Omega TV in direct television coverage.

The exhibition was officially opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Cyprus, Marko Blagojevic and the director of the Nikola Tesla Museum Ivona Jevtic, in the presence of numerous figures from the public and cultural life of Cyprus, representatives of the diplomatic corps, personal envoy of the archbishop KPC Bishop Grigorios, as well as members of the Serbian community.

At the opening was also present the Board of Directors of the Society of Cypriot-Serbian friendship, led by President Nenad Bogdanovic, as well as Honorary Consul R. Serbia in Cyprus, g. Kypros Eliades.

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Ambassador Blagojevic thanked the city of Belgrade and the Museum for organizing this event in Nicosia. On this occasion, he pointed out that after examining the exhibition, everyone would ask themselves the question "How is it possible that one of the greatest minds of our time is not the subject of world history textbooks and compulsory school education?" 

Ivona Jevtić, Director of the Museum, thanked everyone who helped the exhibition to be realized for the first time in Cyprus. She pointed out that traveling exhibitions and cooperation with countries and cities around the world is an excellent opportunity to show the famous work of the greatest scientist of all time, Nikola Tesla.

The exhibition was realized with the support of the Exagon Exhibits from Cyprus and will be open to visitors until April 21, 2019 within the Nicosia Fair.
