On May 2, 2019 head of UNFICYP, Ms. Elizabeth Spehar, awarded medals in the service of peace in Cyprus to chief police adviser Milan Glišović and police adviser Goran Filipović.

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Marko Blagojević attended the medal award ceremony to members of national police contingents within the UN peacekeeping mission in Cyprus (UNFICYP), which was held at the UN Protected Area within the buffer zone.

Representatives of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia participate in the UNFICYP Mission in Cyprus since 2011. So far, 15 police officers have been engaged in this mission, on various tasks and duties. Participation of members of MoI of the Republic of Serbia was always rated with the highest marks.
