Printer Friendly Version Participation of the Cyprus-Serbian Friendship Association at the Intercultural Festival “Musical Footprints 2019” @ 15 July 2019 01:24 PM

The traditional Intercultural Festival “Musical Footprints 2019” was held at Heroes’ Square in Limassol, on Sunday, 23rd of June, starting 6:30 pm.

This year, the festival that initially started in 2008 as an idea of our compatriot Nenad Bogdanović, beside Cyprus-Serbian Friendship Association, welcomed as participants more than 20 associations and foreign communities that work and live in Cyprus, including their diplomatic representatives on the island.

The cultural program of the festival included musical and dance performances from different countries, presented by the members of their communities, as well as food and crafts bazaar.

This year’s event was dedicated to the World Refugee Day, as well as to the recently departed former President of Cyprus, Mr. Demetris Christofias.

The Festival was officially opened, in the presence of H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Cyprus, Mr. Marko Blagojević, by the Mayor of Limassol, Nicos Nicolaides, Limassol Intercultural Council Coordinator, Nenad Bogdanović, who is also the president of the Cyprus-Serbian Friendship Association, as well as the president of the Cultural Movement “Epilogi”, Mrs. Tatyana Cheti.

This festival was organized within the project “Limassol, One city - The whole world, supported by the Republic of Cyprus and the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

Serbian Embassy in Cyprus assisted the members of Cyprus-Serbian Friends Association in their participation.
