Ambassador of Serbia in Cyprus, H. E. Marko Blagojevic, attended a medal award ceremony for UNFICYP military personnel, which was held on July 18, 2019 at the UN Headquarters in the Buffer Zone, former Nicosia Airport.

UNFICYP commander-in-chief, Major General Cheryl Pierce, awarded with Medal for Participation in Multinational Operations soldiers from various contingents, including two Serbian members of Armed Forces- Captain Predrag Aleksic, who serves as Chief of Engineering and Major Nikola Peric who performs the duties of Chief of Operations.
