CYPRUS JUDO FEDERATION DECIDES TO AWARD STANISLAV JANKOVIĆ WITH A TITLE OF THE HONORARY PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERATION

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Marko Blagojević welcomed and officially congratulated Stanislav Janković for receiving the title of the lifetime honorary president of Cyprus Judo Federation. He congratulated him for all his accomplishments and success, and for promoting this noble martial art all around the world, during his 60-years long career.

Ambassador pointed out the contribution of Stanislav Janković in the expansion of martial arts in the Republic of Cyprus and in promoting and strengthening the relations between the two states through sport. The reception was also an occasion to celebrate his 60-years long commitment to this sport and reaching the highest master rank in judo.

A great teacher of judo, Stanislav Janković, master 7th dan, since the day he arrived in Cyprus and started working as a president of Judo Federation, coach and instructor for the national team, has been the most responsible for the development and remarkable results in international competitions achieved by Cypriot judoists in the last three decades, as well as for the popularity of this sport among young Cypriots.

Ambassador noted that he was convinced in Stanislav Janković being a role model for his students, not only in a professional way, but also with his personal human qualities and respect that he enjoys in Cypriot community and international circles, and pointed out that there is no greater award for a teacher.
